Hessam Kalanaki, Site Manager at Regal Construction, has been named one of the 30 Under 30 Rising Stars at the prestigious Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Awards, recognising Hessam’s exceptional contributions, highlighting his leadership, innovation, and commitment to creating positive social and environmental impacts.
With over four years of hands-on experience in managing high-profile residential and commercial projects across London, Hessam has become an outstanding member of the team. Since joining Regal Construction 16 months ago, his outstanding contributions to The Clarendon Works have established him as a rising star.
A champion for social initiatives, Hessam has been instrumental in advocating for safety, diversity, and inclusivity on-site. His dedication to the well-being of his team and the communities impacted by construction projects underscores his reputation as an ethical and socially conscious professional.
Among his community-focused achievements, Hessam spearheaded the refurbishment of a rooftop playground at St. John’s Church of England Primary School in Watford, providing a safer and more engaging environment for students. At The Clarendon Works Project, he led the creation of a social welfare area featuring a table tennis table, fostering team cohesion and well-being.
Hessam’s commitment to social responsibility extends to his collaboration with the Watford Peace Hospice, one of the charities supported by The Clarendon. Additionally, he has championed sustainability initiatives, driving waste reduction and supporting Regal’s carbon reduction goals.
A graduate of City University of London with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Hessam holds an Associate Membership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Hessam’s recent promotion from Assistant Site Manager to Site Manager reflects his dedication to excellence and his passion for fostering positive change.
